About Us

The Music shop Musica Slovaca offers the publishing output of the Music Fund (Catalogue of Edition Titles and Catalogue of Recordings) and the works of Slovak composers. 

We also provide on order works available in the music archive of the Music Fund. We sell scholarly works on music (sheet music, books) and recordings presenting Slovak composers and performing artists issued by Slovak publishers (OPUS, H-plus, Hudobné centrum, Scriptorium Musicum, Diskant, Slovart Records, Divyd, Amadeo,..)

To provide for the needs of musical education, Musica Slovaca further offers instructive and pedagogic literature, manuals for musical instruments, works of musical scholarship, theoretical handbooks, and publications on the theory of music. Richest of all is the selection of teaching publications for elementary art schools in Slovakia. So as to provide the widest possible choice in this area, collaboration has been established with Editio Bärenreiter Praha and Schott Music Panton.

Musica Slovaca reflects the selections offered by other publishers also, aiming to give music school teachers access to new progressive methods of teaching with a greater focus on contemporary world music composition from the earliest stages of instruction.  
The internet shop www.musicaslovaca.sk offers a range of CDs produced by the Music Fund and MP3s. The online catalogue also includes a selection of sheet music for sale and sheet music materials for hire.
