The album Rio Danubio carries in themselves latin-jazz spirit and connects it with elements of mainstream jazz. Blues form, modal forms or re-arranged jazz standards interlinked with latin-groove form this interesting concept.

Album was recorded on two recording frequencies with two rhythm sections. Listener may compare two approaches and „sound" drummers – Brazilian origin Andre Antunes and domestic Marián Ševčík interconnecting with percussionist or Peruvian origin Eddy Portello.

Album makes up jazz standards and author compositions of jazz saxophonist Erik Rothenstein and Michal Motýľ with soloist performances of leading musicians from Slovakia.
